Interior Scroll (2024)
Performed at the Judson Church as part of the Movement Research Series
In this revision and revival of Carolee Schneeman’s 1975 Interior Scroll, I read from a scroll held in the mouth of an anonymous white submissive an array of racist and transphobic / trans-fetishizing remarks that I have received from white men over the years. In a reversal of Schneeman’s gesture, upon completion of the reading I roll up the scroll and insert it in the man’s ass with the aid of a hollow buttplug.
