Riven Ratanavanh is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work reaches into the body to materialize trans diasporic possibilities. His work focuses on Asian (trans)masculine identity, queer politics, race, fetishes-and-fetishism, and trans imaginations.
Spanning performance, film, and photo, his work has been presented at Performance Space New York, the Poetry Project, Movement Research, Amant Arts, and the Center for Performance Research. He was selected as a finalist for the CIRCA X DAZED Class of 2022. His films have been shown at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA), TRANSlations the Seattle Trans Film Festival, and the London Short Film Festival. He has been featured Dazed Magazine, CIRCA, and the Asian American Arts Alliance.
Born in Bangkok, he currently lives and works in New York City.
